Nice to meet you
Located in the northwest region of the Negev and bordering Sderot and the Gaza Strip, the Sha’ar HaNegev council is home to about 10,000 residents, residing in ten kibbutzim, one moshav, and one absorption center for immigrants from Ethiopia.
In the past 10 years the council is enjoying a swell in absorption rates, almost doubling the number of residents, as families from all over the country and world are finding their homes here.
The Sha’ar Negev Regional Council is committed to the continued growth and strengthening of its 12 communities in the Northern Negev in order to insure our residents a better future.
The mosaic of our community is founded on quality education, economic development, agriculture, innovation, and resilience. Our cutting-edge projects focus on reinforcing, investing, and connecting these pillars of life in our region. These important initiatives are creating new opportunities for our current residents to become a beacon of success and regional prosperity.
In the face of the ongoing security threats, we are determined to provide the community with personal and community resources to promote and sustain resilience.
Together with our many long-lasting partners across the world and in Israel, we can strive to meet our goals for the benefit of the people of Israel and the Jewish people.
